Best PT 1911 Aftermarket grips
I have a Taurus PT-1911 and I want to change the grips on it. Does anyone offer a good looking set of comfortable grips for this handgun? I don't want to have to modify the grips and I know the PT-1911 grips need to accomodate the right side safety release.
Can you help?

Cub Fan...thanks for the question and let us know how you like that Taurus PT-1911. I am quite certain that the full size ambi-cut grips from any grip manufacturer will work but there are a number of grips made for that gun currently.

My 1911 currently has a set of Hogue rubber grips on it, but I plan on buying a set of Hardwood grips.

I just put some cool new grips on mine from Carbon Creations! I bought them on Ebay. They fit great but I had to trim a whisker off the right side for the ambi-safety. They look great!

Just about every manufacturer makes 1911 parts. you just need to make sure you get the right version (if you have a magwell or ambi safeties, frame size) for your gun. Big online stores(midway, brownells) will have a good selection of grips, or you can just type in 1911 grips in google and get more results then you need. A few brands that come to mind are hogue, pachmayr, and Colt. There is no shortage of different options and styles and tons of choices. Hope you find what your looking for.

I like the Red Rosewood grips…they’re smoking hot.
